This Cookies Policy explains how B Kids Daycare (“B Kids”, “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on bkidsdaycare.com and our parent/guardian portal and apps (collectively, the “Site”). Read this together with our Privacy Policy.

We follow British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Some providers store or access information outside Canada (e.g., U.S.); while abroad, data may be subject to local laws.

1) What are cookies & similar tech?
  • Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website.
  • LocalStorage/SessionStorage keep settings in your browser (e.g., remember a centre selection).
  • Pixels/tags/SDKs are snippets from us or our providers for analytics, security, or ad measurement.

3) Our stack (what you’re likely to see)

Remove any you don’t deploy.

  • Essential
    • First-party session cookie – keeps you logged in securely and ensures forms work.
    • CSRF token – protects forms from cross-site request forgery.
    • CDN/load balancer cookie (Webflow/AWS) – routes traffic reliably.
  • Performance & Analytics (consent-based)
    • Google Analytics 4 – aggregated traffic, events, and conversions across bkidsdaycare.com.
    • (Optional) Plausible/Matomo – privacy-focused analytics (used only if enabled).
  • Functional (consent-based)
    • LocalStorage to remember your chosen centre (South Surrey or Langley), last opened FAQ, and draft tour/RSVP form details.
  • Advertising & Measurement (consent-based; not placed inside the secure parent portal)
    • Meta Pixel and Google Ads – measure campaign performance and limit ad frequency.
    • UTM parameter storage – remembers the campaign that brought you to the Site.
  • Security
    • reCAPTCHA (or equivalent) – bot/spam prevention on forms.

Children’s areas: We do not place advertising cookies inside the secure parent/guardian portal. Any analytics used there are limited to operational performance and security.

4) Durations
  • Session cookies: deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies: remain until they expire or you delete them. Typical lifetimes:
    • Essential: session to 12 months
    • Analytics: up to 13 months
    • Functional: up to 12 months
    • Advertising/measurement: up to 13 months

  • Global Privacy Control: If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out of Advertising & Measurement cookies on the public site.
    Blocking essential cookies may break features (e.g., login, forms).
